Seventeen animated caption styles
CaptionOS has 17 designed caption styles. Each one animates your captions word by word, in time with the speech, and each is a starting point: change the typeface (13 to choose from), colours, outline, glow, placement and motion, for every caption or just one.
-
Pop
Clean, bold type. Each line fades in from the right, and the word being spoken lights up in lime green while the rest stay dimmed.
-
Glow
Lines dissolve in softly, and the word being spoken lights up in red with a wide, feathered glow.
-
Scribble
Bold black type on a yellow marker stripe that sweeps across the line as it is spoken.
-
Delhi
Plain white words that stay where they are: each fades in while it is spoken and stays fully lit once said. No sliding or bouncing.
-
Aura
Two stacked lines: an italic serif lead-in that fades down, and a bright cyan line in capitals that glides in from the right.
-
Blockbuster
Cinematic red capitals with a glow, each line fading in from the left.
-
Gazette
A newspaper look: serif type on a paper-coloured panel, lines fading in from the top, with an ink underline sweeping under the key word.
-
Signal
Broadcast style: small spaced capitals above a bold line, entering from the left, with a warm orange accent.
-
Velvet
A slow, soft dissolve, with the key word written in a purple script inside a hand-drawn loop.
-
Terminal
Monospaced type in a dark, bracketed box, scanned in line by line, with the key word underlined in mint green.
-
Postcard
A handwritten-style lead-in above a bold blue headline in capitals, each line fading in from the right.
-
Uplift
Heavy white lines that fade in smoothly from above.
-
Goldcast
An amber headline in capitals over a smaller white line, with soft, layered dissolves.
-
Limelight
Small white dialogue above a bold gold title: the dialogue fades in from the left, the title from the right.
-
Contrast
An italic phrase with one word blown up in bold yellow, which fades down into place once.
-
Statement
One huge hero word, the lead words above it, and a red script word that swings in.
-
Creator
A bold white hook in capitals that drops in, then a blue gradient punchline that whips in.
Change anything in any style
Quite a lot. Swap between 13 typefaces, set weight, size, case, spacing, line height and alignment, recolour the text, the spoken word and the accent, add an outline, shadow or glow, adjust the background panel, placement, width, words per phrase and motion speed. Changes can apply to every caption or just one, and you can save a look as your own style.
Every style in every script
Each style has typefaces for Hinglish in Roman letters, Hindi in Devanagari, Urdu (laid out right to left) and English, so a style looks right in whichever language you caption. The guides explain which script to choose and how word-by-word captions work.
