Refund and Cancellation Policy

Cancelling
- You can cancel a paid plan at any time from your dashboard (Settings, then Plan & Billing).
- Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your plan keeps working until the end of the week, month or year you’ve paid for, then your account moves to the Free plan.
- To switch between weekly, monthly and yearly billing, cancel your current plan and choose the new one when it ends. Changing to another plan with the same billing (for example monthly Starter to monthly Pro) takes effect at your next renewal.
- Your projects and videos are not deleted when a plan ends. Free plan limits apply to new captions and uploads.
Refunds
- Weekly and monthly plans: not refundable. You can cancel at any time so you aren’t charged again, and your plan keeps working until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- Yearly plans: a full refund if you ask within 14 days of paying and have used less than 20% of the first month’s caption minutes. After that, a yearly payment isn’t refundable, but you can cancel so it doesn’t renew.
- Charged twice, or charged for a payment that failed: always refunded in full, on any plan.
- If CaptionOS itself stopped working for you and we couldn’t fix it, tell us: we may refund you at our discretion.
How to ask for a refund
Email support@captionos.in from your account’s email address. We reply within 2 business days. Approved refunds are started within 7 business days and go back to the way you paid; your bank may take a few more days to show them.
If a payment fails
- If paying for a plan fails, you are not charged and stay on your current plan. You can try again at any time.
- If money left your account but the payment failed, your bank or Razorpay returns it automatically, usually within 5 to 7 working days. If it doesn’t, email us.
- If a renewal fails, Razorpay tries again over the next few days and your plan keeps working for 3 days meanwhile. If it still can’t be charged, your account moves to the Free plan; nothing is deleted, and you can subscribe again whenever you like.
