How to add Hindi captions to Instagram Reels (Devanagari)
Upload the Reel to CaptionOS and choose हिन्दी. Your speech is written in Devanagari, word by word, and every caption style has typefaces made for Hindi. Fix any word, pick a style and export an MP4 with the Hindi captions burned in, then post it as your Reel.
Step by step
- Sign up free and start a New project with your Reel.
- Tap हिन्दी in the editor’s language buttons. A video already transcribed in another language is transcribed again in Devanagari.
- Pick one of 17 caption styles; each keeps its look with a Devanagari typeface.
- Read the transcript and fix any word, especially names and English words written in Hindi.
- Tap Export and post the MP4 to Instagram.
Making Devanagari captions easy to read
- Make the text a little larger than you would for English: the matras and the top line need room.
- Show fewer words at a time, so each line stays short.
- Add an outline or a background panel on busy footage.
- English words come out in Devanagari (for example “कैप्शन”). Edit any word by hand if you would rather write it differently.
Hindi or Hinglish?
If you mix a lot of English into your Hindi, Hinglish in Roman letters may read faster for your audience. See Hinglish or Hindi captions to decide, and Hinglish captions for Reels for that route.
What it costs
The Free plan includes 2 minutes of transcription a month and exports up to 2 minutes long at 1080p with a small watermark; paid plans start at ₹49 a week (Weekly) and remove the watermark. See pricing.
